Acumatica unveiled a new user interface and several new capabilities for its industry-focused cloud ERP applications that focus on improving user productivity.
Acumatica also said its Professional Services Edition, which was unveiled at Acumatica Summit 2024 in February, would be available later in October. The Professional Services Edition is aimed at engineering firms, architects, consultancies and IT services funds, and includes functionality for project-based accounting, milestone billing, and project and resources management.

Simple Preparation Steps for an ERP Conversion
In preparation for an ERP switch, it is a good time to get your company involved and on the same page with planning. Not only to review the processes that have been in place since the implementation of your current ERP system, but to brainstorm on what your managers would like to receive as tools to better do their job. That can be in the real time form of dashboards, that link to current reports that will in turn come from data entered in the new ERP. If you need to analyze data with specific filters, make sure those key fields are available in the new ERP. Strong communication between all team members will create better buy in to the changes that will take place. Granted not all wishes will be granted in design of the new ERP but those that work best for the improvement of management and proficiencies should be strongly considered. Once you have these in place, you have a starting point to evaluate the new ERP offerings and a plan for buildout when you go into the testing phase of an implementation.
